It starts off well enough, with promise
It doesn't live up to it
It fails in the matter of power scaling.
And it's kinda funny how the 'terrorist organisation' is morally in the right but our mc has to go against them anyway in order to further his own (important) goal.
Occasionally they have to delve into what feels like side-quest storylines [Shadow World arc] (it's dressed up as storylines based on past events but they feel so incredibly different in tone and setting and most events that it's clear its based on videogame side-quests and dungeon runs). And those are usually interesting. But it's so completely different to the rest of the series, it's kinda jarring.

Side characters are mostly a disappointment. The woman who I assume is the main romance is interesting, at least. But she's also kept mysterious in that we don't get enough development from her.

Also it's just straight-up silly that there are 100% people who the mc can trust with his Returnee secret but...he just...doesn't. For literally no good reason.

Start would be a 6.5-ish, the side-quests a 7.5, later parts imma say it's a 5. If you want things blown up, you can read this.

It was never great, but it was enjoyable at first. The pacing of the last two seasons is unreasonable, things don't feel real. Major "advancements" are dealt with so quickly their impact is unclear and they carry no weight.

Example of the pacing issues is (very minor spoiler):

New characters joined the MC's party in roughly season 3, and you follow them for 3 chapters maybe, then forget them for dozens of chapters, then learn they somehow got somewhat strong off screen, forget them again for dozens more chapters, now they appear again but at this point they had so little story time or character development the author starts color coding them so you remember who is who.

The fights, which were never great, get more and more incomprehensible and hence boring. The art isn't good enough to be a draw on its own.

Storytelling, dialogue and action flows naturaly it's pretty enjoyable trip when you read it compare to another isekai manhwa it's easily 9.5/10 althought there's a minor flaws but it still entertaining. I read it on kakao and already spent lots of coins to support the artist

Nothing written is particularly unique and you can easily guess whats going to happen next and even what people are going to say most of the time.
Packed full of shallow flat characters devoid of any personality outside of how they feel towards the protag&friends. This was supposed to be about magic but instead its barely just the generic "Grr im a noble, I hate commoners!" drivel.
It's like somebody perfectly gathered ideas that have already been done before except they changed absolutely nothing about it.

EDIT: I don't remember why I re-read this. I'm at ch. 257 now and I'm shocked at the last 100 or so chapters. Things accelerated.

The translation I'm reading is confusing as f*ck but at the same time the art style grew on me. To the point where even if the translation is nonsensical I can sort of grasp what's trying to be conveyed through the character's interaction.

Last 50 chapters (until 257, anyway) is crazy. "Epic" is kind of what they're going for. They're very clearly missing the mark but not by much. Surprisingly decent.

Rating I gave WAS "0.5/10 everythingis boring". I can solidly say ch. 180 to 257 bumped it up to a comfortable 5 now.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: every female character seems to have caterpillars for their eyelashes. Unappealing, and even annoying, character designs. Slow, slow, SLOW plot.

Even during the supposedly emotional scenes like where Pram is all grateful for getting his rapier back feels so out of left field. It's so exaggerated...and I usually freaking love over the top anything...but this honestly feels like it was ripped out of the Murim genre. Usually, in hybrid Murim/Chinese Wuxia/Xianxia X Western style fantasy there's something that'll tie them together but here it's just so haphazardly done. Just really unfulfilling. There's zero payoff when the main dude supposedly does something "clever". I left feeling like...wait, that's it? That's ALL?!

I feel like I've been cheated of a good story the longer I read this. Ugh. Dropped at Ch.24.

The pacing is a little bit slow, the chapter is short, the drawing is ok, and it's not that bad. It's the noble vs commoner things, where all the nobles is a simpletons who hate commoners for no reason. There are plot holes here and there, but it still acceptable. I think the author really likes putting too much dialogue at the end of every battle, giving enough time for the villain to escape.
