Marie
Lead CSR
Marie was raised in Massachusetts and has had a love of animals from a very young age. She received her first puppy for her 7th birthday and started riding horses at the age of 9.
After graduating college she managed a private horse farm and dog show kennel. She traveled up and down the eastern sea board for horse shows and dog shows, including Florida for the winters, where she fell in love with the state.
After having her daughter she went in a different direction of her career and spent 30 years in the dental industry. Now that her daughter is grown she decided to make the move to Florida and has returned to her first love of working with and around animals.
Down here in Florida she loves spending time in her gardens and time with her husband and two dogs. Reba her Pembroke Corgi, runs the household in her own way and her foster fail, Shayna, who is a pitty/aussie mix who is very sweet and gets out of the way of her bossy older sister Reba.
Marie worked at a local shelter and still fosters for them, but has now joined our team here at West Villages Animal Clinic. She will greet you at the front desk or over the phone. She wants to make our clients and patients feel welcomed and able to help them in any way she can.

She spent high school years volunteering at both the Philadelphia SPCA and the Gulf Coast Humane Society. During her time at the shelters, she walked, fed and spent time with the shelter animals. Selena considered other careers, however after spending so much time in the shelters, she knew she found her passion.

Angie
Veterinary Technician
Angie is absolutely thrilled to have joined the team at West Villages Animal Clinic in April 2024! As a child, she grew up with an overwhelming love of animals – the main motivator behind purchasing her first home being the ability to have as many pets as she wanted. Angie has lived multiple career lives including but not limited to event planner, marketer, special effects makeup artist, and handmade artist. When she found herself dipping her toes into veterinary medicine, however, it seemed as if her soul finally smiled, sighed, & said “Oh, here it is. My purpose. Finally.”
Angie found her feet in shelter medicine as the Director of Opurrrations & lead Vet Tech at Purrr, a sanctuary and adoption center for the homeless kitties of Fort Lauderdale. There, she kept vampire hours to help TNR hundreds of Broward County stray & feral felines, learning to handle and love even the spiciest of kitties, also specializing in the care of neonates and kittens. After moving to North Port to be closer to family, Angie further honed her tech skills, branching out to dogs, exotics & emergencies at an animal hospital in Port Charlotte.
Most of Angie’s free time involves tending to & loving on her personal zoo, consisting of 2 dogs, 6 cats, 1 green-cheeked conure, a ball python, 2 rats, & a jumping spider. She also enjoys crafting, listening to audio books, & going on local adventures with her partner. Angie hopes to continue her journey toward becoming a veterinarian by learning & growing with the team at West Villages Animal Clinic while beginning prerequisite coursework for vet school.
